Syrian rebels free 48 Iranians in prisoner swap
Mehr news agency quoted Al-Alam as saying, Syrian rebels freed 48 Iranians held captive since August. They will be returned to country soon, Iranian embassy in Damascus said.�Syrian government will release 2130 prisoners including a number of Turkish national prisoners in return.

 
�Bushehr power plant begins operation
Head of Iran�s Atomic Energy Organization Fereydun Abbasi announced on�Wednesday�that primary operation of the Bushehr nuclear power plant has started from Saturday. it is scheduled to become fully operational in next�2-3 years, he added.


Intelligence minister: New information on details of foiled attempts to kill Iranian scientists
Iran�s Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi said Tehran will soon publicize details of foiled attempts to assassinate the country�s nuclear scientists.��Good news will �be publicized �soon�on defusing assassination plots against some of the nuclear scientists of our country,� Moslehi told on Wednesday.



Iran to produce��The General Staff��in response to �Argo�
Iran�s Art Bureau plans to produce a movie to respond to �Argo�, the Warner Bros. drama about the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to extract six fugitive American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran.��The movie named �The General Staff� is about the 20 American hostages who were delivered to the United States by the revolutionaries,� director Ataollah Salmanian said on Tuesday.

 

Tehran police chief: Arrests of 173 thugs in Tehran
Tehran police chief, Commander Hossein Sajedinia announced the arrests of 173 individuals as �thugs and hoodlums� on Wednesday in South of Tehran, Fars news agency reported. It seems that a new round of crackdowns on thugs has started in Tehran.
