The Iran Project : Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Japanese counterpart, Takeshi Iwaya, have in a telephone conversation stressed the necessity of diplomacy to resolve a dispute over Iran’s nuclear program.

According to The Iran Project, Araqchi and Iwaya also exchanged views on regional and international issues and emphasized the use of diplomacy and diplomatic talks, especially regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
They called for the continuation of dialogue between Japan and Iran, especially at the foreign ministerial level, for the peace and stability of the region.
