Rohanis endorsement ceremony to be held this afternoon

The ceremony is to be held at 17:00 hours local time with participation of top Iranian officials at the Imam Khomeini Mosque in downtown Tehran.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar will give report on the process of the June 14 presidential election.

Later, Head of the Supreme Leaders Office Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani will read out Ayatollah Khameneis endorsement decree.

Then, the Supreme Leader will endorse the President-elect and Rohani will brief his plans and programs in different social, economic, cultural and political areas.

At the end of the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei will deliver a speech.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani and Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani will be also present in the endorsement ceremony of the seventh Iranian president since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

On June 14, Hassan Rohani won over half of the votes in the 11th presidential election.

The inauguration ceremony of Rohani will be held on August 4.
