: Head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi has met with top Armenian officials, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss the development of relations between Tehran and Yerevan.

Kharrazi, Armenian PM discuss expansion of Tehran-Yerevan ties
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues such as bilateral political and economic relations, cooperation in the field of energy and infrastructure, implementation of joint projects and other areas of cooperation, said the report.
They also exchanged views on issues related to security, peace and sustainable stability in the South Caucasus, it added.
Pashinyan praised Iran’s positive stance on the “Crossroads of Peace” project, which was developed at the initiative of the Armenian government in a bid to remove infrastructure blockages in the region.
Kharrazi had met hours earlier with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to discuss the cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan in different fields.
During that meeting, the two sides underlined the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, infrastructure, economy and the implementation of joint projects to further strengthen the friendship between the two nations and to establish stability in the region.
