Head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi has met with top Armenian officials, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss the development of relations between Tehran and Yerevan.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has said that his country’s policy towards the Caucasus region remains unchanged, adding that Tehran backs any measure aimed at opening connection routes with that region, while adhering to the principle of respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
