Tehran, Havana agree to increase trade, economic ties
Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ehsan Khandouzi and Cubas deputy prime minister, and the Cuban presidents special envoy Ricardo Cabrisas, met on Tuesday in Tehran and both sides agreed to increase trade, economic ties.

Ricardo Cabrisas, Cubas deputy prime minister and the Cuban presidents special envoy, who has traveled to Tehran to take part in the 18th meeting of the Iran-Cuba Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, met with Khandouzion Tuesday and exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.

Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister said in the meeting that Iran has alwayscalled forestablishinglong-termeconomicrelationswithLatin Americancountries, especiallyCuba.

He addedthataccordingtothe history ofthe supremepoliticalcooperationof the twocountries,Cubaisparticularlyimportantforthe IslamicRepublicof Iran.

Khandouzi in the meeting highlighted thenecessityofpromotingeconomicrelationsbetweenthetwocountriesinthefieldsof healthandagriculture, and called for boostingeconomic ties between the two countries.

Ricardo Cabrisas, Cubas deputy prime minister and the Cuban presidents special envoy for his part in the meeting said that climatechange and Ukrainiancrisis, has had challenged Cuba's foodsecurity.He announced his country's readinesstousethe experiencesandtechnologyof Iraniancompanies.
