Iran's Ambassador in Turkish capital Ankara Ali Riza Bigdeli said MondayIranwas pleased withTurkey's growth and development, inviting Turkish entrepreneurs to invest in his country.
Bigdeli met Ostim Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (OSIAD) Chairman Adnan Keskin and representatives of Turkish firms operating inIran, an OSIAD statement said.
Iran's ambassador said Western sanctions onIranprevent the two Muslim countries engaging in better trade partnership, adding thatTurkeyneeds to strengthen its ties with its neighbors.
"An entrepreneur wants to do business in safe regions," Bigdeli said. "Iranis a safe country for Turkish investors. Come and invest inIran."
OSIAD Chairman Keskin pointed to problems Turkish firms encounter in transactions while doing business inIran.
Keskin added he disapproved of Western sanctions prohibiting trade of vital commodities.
