Financial Tribune- Afghanistan imports some $2.8 billion worth of commodities from Iran every year, according to the Afghan envoy to Iran, Nasir Ahmad Nour.

�If oil exports are excluded, Afghanistan would be considered Iran�s biggest export destination,� the official was quoted as saying by IRNA.

A third of Afghanistan�s domestic demand for goods enters that country through Dogharoun border terminal located in the border city of Taybad in Khorasan Razavi Province, which also accounts for 50% of the Iranian province�s annual exports.
