TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Pakistan�s National Security Adviser Nasser Janjua on Sunday left his country for Tehran to hold talks with senior Iranian officials on a range of issues, including ways to boost bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.





Nasir Khan Janjua, a retired general, will discuss security issues in the region as well, according to a report by Radio Pakistan on Sunday.

A statement issued by the Pakistani Prime Minister�s House in Islamabad said that the adviser is visiting Iran at the invitation of the country�s government.

The statement said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Iran being a brotherly neighboring country.

The two neighbors, which have always enjoyed friendly ties, have worked to develop cooperation in different spheres in the past few months.

During a formal visit to Islamabad by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani back in March, high-ranking officials from Iran and Pakistan signed six memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for cooperation in different fields of trade and commerce, insurance, culture, academy, health and medicine.
