Iran to launch Jamaran 2 destroyer in Caspian Sea: Defense minister
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi says the country plans to launch the indigenous Jamaran 2 destroyer in the Caspian Sea in the near future.


Vahidi said on Monday that the new warship is the symbol of the power of the Defense Ministrys Marine Industries.
Iranian Muslim clerics criticize President Ahmadinejad
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejads behavior at Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavezs funeral displeased Irans conservative Muslim leaders.

Tehran condemns UN report on alleged human rights violations in Iran

Iran mulls suing Hollywood over Argo
Iranian media say authorities are planning to sue Hollywood over the Oscar-winning Argo because of the movies allegedly unrealistic portrayal of the country.

Several news outlets, including the pro-reform Shargh daily, said on Tuesday that French lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre is in Iran for talks with officials over how and where to file the lawsuit.
Irans March crude exports to fall to lowest since sanctions kicked in
Irans crude oil exports in March may plunge by a quarter from a month earlier to the lowest since tight Western sanctions came into effect in 2012, industry sources said, squeezing income for Tehran as sanctions cast doubt over its future revenues.

The fall may result in a revenue loss of about $1 billion for Iran, according to Reuters calculations based on current oil prices, just as the countrys parliament debates President Mahmoud Ahmadinejads spending proposals.
