No new decision has been made about womens attendance at sports stadiums, Irans Interior Minister, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli told the reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of the countrys election headquarters on Tuesday.
However, Last week, Irans vice president for women and family affairs, Shahindokht Molaverdi, said only a limited number of women, mainly families of national team players, would be allowed to attend the upcoming volleyball matches in Tehran.
But, Spokesman Brigadier General Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi said recently that womens entry into sporting arenas remains illegaland a conservative group staged a protest over womens attendance a few days ago in spite of the Government Spokesmans remarks about the illegality of any rally against the issue.
