Several fire stations deployed their forces to the place and after about two hours of collaborative efforts, they managed to extinguish the blaze.
The fire concentrated on the exterior of the hospital building, said an official familiar with the issue.
The head of Gandhi Hospital had said that the east side of the hospital was on fire and the patients and the staff members were evacuated from the hospital.
