Tehran, June 2, IRNA � Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah here Monday.

The Emir arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit upon the official invitation of President Hassan Rouhani.


Ministers of foreign affairs, oil, finance, and commerce and industry are accompanying the Emir.

During his stay in Tehran, the Kuwaiti leader held talks with top-ranking Iranian officials on issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional developments.

The Kuwaiti Emir reviewed issues of mutual interest with Rouhani on Sunday and signed six agreements on economic, tourism and environment cooperation.
