Algiers, May 28, IRNA � Iran?s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said the presence of senior officials of the Non-Aligned Movement member states in its 17th ministerial meeting indicates Algeria?s significant status in the present world.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the NAM ministerial meeting, he said the presence of the NAM officials in the foreign ministerial meeting in Algiers shows the brilliant position Algeria holds in the present world.

He briefed the aud?ience on the extensive lobbies undertaken worldwide to hold the meeting.

Zarif further noted that the movement will make great efforts to remove the existing challenges through unity among all members.

Zarif arrived in Algiers late Tuesday evening to participate in ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.
