TEHRAN (FNA)- Senior cultural officials from Iran and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic voiced enthusiasm for widening and deepening all-out ties, specially in the cultural sector.
In a meeting between Nakhchivan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Sarvan Ibrahimov and Iranian General Consulate's Cultural Attach in Nakhchivan Ali Akbar Talebi Matin on Friday, the officials underlined abundant historical, cultural, social, and religious commonalities between the two sides, and urged relevant officials to seize these advantages to boost cultural cooperation.
Matin expressed Iran's readiness for holding cultural week in Nakhchivan Republic.
Ibrahimov, for his part, appreciated General Consulate's efforts to strengthen mutual communications, and added, "We try to increase our cultural interaction with Iran."
He further underlined the significance of Azeri President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Tehran for promotion of bilateral ties.
Iran has recently enhanced efforts to boost political, economic and cultural ties and cooperation with the regional and neighboring countries, specially the Central Asian states.
