TEHRAN (ISNA)- A member of Board of Directors of Iranian Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association Mohammad Reza Najafi-Manesh said the country would double car production in 2014.
"The number of car manufacture in this year (started on March 21) will total 1.300.000," he told ISNA.
Iran made 700.000 autos last year, he said, adding the largest Iranian state-run auto-maker (IKCO) will manufacture 600.000 ones, Saipa 650.000 and the remaining auto makers will make 50.000 ones this year.
Najafi-Manesh also expressed the hope that internal and external problems of the country's auto industry would be removed soon.
