IRGC reportedly arrests Al-Nezal terrorist group
TEHRAN, April 13 (MNA) Deputy-minister of interior for intelligence has said the IRGC has arrested a terrorist group in Khuzestan province in south of the country.



Ali Abdollahi who was speaking in a press conference today in the Ministry of Interior added that the arrested terrorist had possibly planned for sabotage operations in the country, since IRGC discovered explosives of the group.

Asked about the recent arrest by the IRGC of terrorist group in Khuzestan, and whether the group was supported from the outside country, he told that there was no doubt that they were supported by foreign countries, and that they receive even logistics and instructive supports, however he believed that the strong intelligence of the country had aborted the groups sabotage operations.

Abdollahi pointed to a security agreement between Iran and Qatar. In a future visit to Qatar, a joint workgroup with Qatar will be established on security provisioned by the agreement ratified by the Parliament in 2010, he added, so far, Iran and Qatar have met in 12 security sessions on border patrolling.

About the release of border guards taken hostage by terrorist group Jaysh al-Adl, Abdollahi said that the feat was achieved with the attempt and engagement of the all potentials of the Islamic Republic. We are working on Pakistanis to have them to exercise better methods to block and control the borders, he added.

Asked by a reporter about a claim made by Jaysh al-Adl on the groups weblog that they had carried out 40 terrorist operations by the end of the last year, and why Iran had not reacted considerably to the operations, the deputy-minister told that the Ministry of the Interior had a policy to take positions only when the source of the news are credible.

On recent visit to Sistan and Baluchistan province, Abdollahi said that during the visit the minister issued a directive to bridge the border gaps, and approved significant amount of financial resources to block the borders.

We are working hard on the borders to reconstruct tent patrol posts to concrete strongholds so that we could effectively block the borders, he added.

In response to a question whether negligent border guards and their commanders would be punished, he told that the regulations ruling the good conduct of service of the border guards would determine the method to address the punishment.
