TEHRAN, April 8 (MNA) The head of Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution has said the Foundation has reinforced more than 1 million village houses since 2005.
Alireza Tabesh, who was speaking in a press conference ahead of the anniversary of establishment of Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution (April 10), told the Foundations major operation in rural communities had been planning and implementing rural rerouting projects. We have 38,131 villages housing 5,547,000 people, he added.
For about 30,940 villages we have planned rerouting projects. The coverage of our projects is 80 per cent, with 13,436 villages having implemented their own rerouting projects, said the head of the Housing Foundation.
Tabesh also pointed to national budget allocated by government to the plans in 2013 and the first three months of 2014 as being $ 218m.
"A total of $ 80m government budgets have been expended for villages, he said
Currently, the passed budget for the Foundation is $ 420m, and it is planned to be allocated fully, he said.
