TEHRAN, April 6 (MNA) Syria peace pilgrims has traveled to Qom and Isfahan to collect public donations for Syrian refugees.Seyed Salim Qafouri the secretary of International Union of Unified Ummah told Mehr News that the caravan was a humanitarian enterprise and had been established with the purpose of supporting peace in Syria and opposing foreign interventions in the country. The caravan reportedly entered in Iran on April 2 (Wednesday). The caravan visits Isfahan on April 6; Qom on April 7 (Monday); and will return to Tehran April 8 (Tuesday), told the secretary.
The caravan would return to Syrian along with a number of art and sport celebrities to distribute humanitarian aides to Syrian refugee camps, he was quoted to have said.
Salimi detailed about the caravans Saturday agenda in Tehran as visiting Museum of Peace, a press conference in Sarcheshmeh Cultural Center and visiting Milad Tower. On Sunday, the caravan will visit Isfahans Vank Cathedral to hold Religions for Peace in Syria together with the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan.
He told that in Qom, the caravan would visit Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli and to attend Conference on Religions against Takfir in Masoumiyeh seminary school.
Salimi, who is also a documentary director, added that on Tuesday, the caravan would visit the Parliament and Foreign Ministry.
In Sheikh Ansari Amphetheatre of University of Tehran also a conference, Hails to Peace, Hails to Syria will be held, with Iranian art celebrities attending, he added.
The caravan was attended by art celebrities such as Behrouz Afkhami, Abulqasem Talebi, Mohammadreza Shahidifard, Naser Feiz, Mohammad Hossein Jafarian, Hojjatuleslam Zaeri, and wrestling former champion Mohammad Reza Taleqani in visit to Syria and Syrian refugee camps.
