Tehran, March 31, IRNA � First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said Monday that Government of President Hassan Rouhani supports policies of resistance economy l and domestic production.

Speaking to reporters, Jahangiri said government moves in line with the Economy of Resistance which was initiated by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to counter anti-Iran sanctions.


On February 19, the Supreme Leader outlined the general policies of the economy and on Feb 25 called on the three branches of the government to follow up serious implementation of the policies of the resistance economy.


The decree urged the government to ensure and promote knowledge-based economy and domestic production, especially in strategic products and services, with the subsequent reduction of dependence on imports.
