Iran sees no limit to ties with Tajikistan: Zarif
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says the Islamic Republic sees no limit to the enhancement of ties with Tajikistan.
In a meeting with his visiting Tajik counterpart, Sirojiddin Aslov, in Tehran on Saturday evening, Zarif expressed Irans readiness to cooperate with Tajikistan on security issues and the fight against terrorism, describing extremism as the common enemy of both countries.

The top Iranian diplomat further pointed to the numerous cultural affinities between Iran and Tajikistan, stressing Irans eagerness to further boost strong and friendly relations with the Tajik nation and government in political, economic and cultural fields.
There is no ceiling to the expansion of cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan, Zarif said.
Aslov, for his part, praised Irans diplomatic victories in the interim agreement signed between the Islamic Republic and six world powers over the Iranian nuclear energy program, underlining Irans right to develop and use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

He also described the frequent reciprocal visits by high-ranking delegations from Iran and Tajikistan as indicative of the two countries resolve to deepen mutual ties, saying that Tehran is among the major trade partners of Dushanbe.

During a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek on September 13, 2013, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the expansion of the mutual relations and cooperation between the Islamic Republic and Tajikistan.

The two heads of state discussed ways of boosting relations between their countries.
