TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Iran wrestling team will participate in the 10-nation Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in Inglewood, Calif.



The competitions will be held on March 15-16.

Initial competition will be in two five-team pools. The matchups were set by random draw last month.

Russia, second at the 2013 World Championships, is in Pool B with Ukraine, fourth the worlds, Japan, Georgia and Mongolia.

The US (fifth at worlds) is in Pool A with Iran, which won the world team title last year, Armenia, India and Turkey.

Iran will take part in the competitions with 16 wrestlers in eight weight category.

57 kg: Hassan Rahimi - Mehran Rezazadeh
61 kg: Masoud Esmaeilpour - Seyed Ahmad Mohammadi
65 kg: Meisam Nassiri
70 kg: Mostafa Hosseinkhani - Peyman Yarahmadi
74 kg: Ezzatollah Akbari - Reza Afzali
86 kg: Ehsan Lashgari - Meisam Mostafa Jokar - Alireza Karimi
97 kg: Reza Yazdani - Hamed Talebi
120 kg: Komeil Ghasemi - Parviz Hadi
