Bangladesh Womens Filmfest hosts Hush! Girls Dont Scream

The mesmerizing Iranian movie Hush! Girls Dont Scream has been screened at the first International Womens Film Festival in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Directed by the eminent Iranian woman filmmaker Pouran Derakhshandeh, the film tells the story of abused children and ignorant families who do not make enough time in their day to listen and solve their children's issue.

Derakhshandehs social drama has garnered rave reviews in a number of international competitions.

The film nabbed award at the 2014 edition of Irvine International Film Festival (IIFF) in the United States.

Sponsored by Irans Farabi Cinematic Foundation, the film won Best Film Award at the 2012 Fajr International Film Festival.

Derakhshandehs latest drama also received a great attention from the movie goers in Canada and the United States.

The film also garnered the Best Feature length Award of the fourth edition of London Iranian film festival.

Oscar Academy requested a copy of screen script of Hush! Girls Dont Scream during a letter signed by the centers Script Librarian Gregory Walsh.

Organised by Womens Film Society Bangladesh, the festivals focus is on women as writers, directors, actors, and producers.

The festival started its program on March 10 and will run until March 13, 2014.
