Tehran, March 11, IRNA - Friends of Syria will hold Conference in Tehran to discuss the Syrian political crisis tomorrow, Hossein Sheikholeslam an advisor to the parliament Speaker said on Tuesday.
He made the remarks in an interview with IRNA.
The conference in presence of the heads of parliamentary foreign policy commissions of Iran, Algiers, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Russia will discuss ways to stop bloodshed and violation of human rights in Syria.
Sheikholeslam said that Iran believes the Syria crisis can be resolved through political approaches requiring an immediate end to violation of human rights there.
Venezuela and Cuba ambassadors in Tehran will also be present in the meeting.
The Islamic Republic has repeatedly expressed its opposition to any foreign intervention in Syria?s internal affairs, stressing that inclusive dialog and national reconciliation as well as democratic elections are the keys to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the Arab country.
The human plight and bloodshed in Syria have erupted since the past two years by foreign fighters and professional terrorists harboured by Saudi Arabia killing thousands of innocent people and Syrian soldiers.
The women and children and the elderly were also the victims of the violence and starvation, according to the human rights organizations.
