Tehran, March 11, IRNA Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said the claims by the Zionist regime against Iran are just pre-engineered scenarios.Talking to reporters during her weekly press briefing, she dismissed the Zionist regime claims saying Iran is dispatching arms to the Gaza Strip.
She said the claims were just fantasies and lies engineered to counter Irans improving status in the region and its extensive interaction with other countries.
She noted that the claims were raised simultaneous with the meetings of the Israeli lobbies in the US.
Afkham said the Zionist regime is resorting to such repetitive claims because it is concerned over Irans growing interaction with various countries.
However, she noted, arms smuggling was of prime importance for Iran because arms, particularly the chemical weapons, provided to the terrorist Takfiri groups in Syria are a source of concern for Iran.
As to the Oman visit of President Hassan Rouhani, the spokeswoman said the two-day trip to start on Wednesday is taking place upon the official invitation of the Omani King.
