Tehran, March 10, IRNA � Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message on Monday expressed condolence on the death of former Afghanistan?s first vice president, Marshal Mohammed Fahim.
In the message which was addressed to Afghan parliament, government and mation, Larijani said Fahim was among top Afghan officials who dedicated his life to political struggle to hoist the flag of Islam, freedom and independence in Afghanistan.

The former vice president suffered a lot and left a very admirable record of service to his nation and was very popular among the Afghan people, he said.

The former Afghan vice president passed away on Sunday morning due to heart attack.
