Iran says cyber attacks by enemies "unsuccessful"
By Trend

Cyber attacks which have been so far carried out on important centers of Iran have all been unsuccessful, ISNA quoted Iran's Passive Defense Organization's Director Gholam-Reza Jalali as saying.

"Viruses, such as Stux and Flame, had penetrated into some sensitive and vital departments, but they were identified and removed," Jalali added.

On Tuesday, Jalali announced that the country plans to conduct cyber exercises for the first time in its history.

"We will hold cyber drills in five or six major sectors of the country, which will be conducted to enhance the country's cyber capabilities and prevent cyber attacks," Jalali explained.

Jalali added that a number of other drills, including a drill to practice the response to the leakage of radioactive materials, will be held.
