Tokyo, March 5, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Wednesday that Iran seeks to end the unnecessary crisis created by the western governments over Iranian nuclear program.In a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida, Zarif explained various aspects of Irans nuclear talks.
Describing Tehran-Tokyo ties as close, excellent and long-lasting, he noted that the relations are of special significance for Iran.
He hoped that bilateral ties would further improve in line with mutual interests.
Zarif was optimistic that mutual cooperation will continue on regional and international levels to strengthen global peace and security.
As to Irans nuclear talks, he said, We are serious about resolving the dispute. Iran seeks to end the unnecessary crisis the western governments created over the national nuclear program. Iran pursues the strategy to reach a comprehensive agreement with the western governments.
We believe that removing concerns is an important issue, as the Iranian nation are worried about the Wests stance vis--vis nuclear issue and we do not trust the western governments, he said.
The Persian Gulf security and regional stability and cordial ties with neighbors are Irans foreign policy priorities, he said.
The two foreign ministers explored avenues for broadening political, economic an cultural ties. They also dealt with the latest regional and international developments.
