Zarif: Meetings with Indian officials had good results

New Delhi, March 1, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, at the end of his 2-day visit to India, said he got good results from his talks and exchanging views with Indias senior officials.
Before departing New Delhi for Tehran on Friday evening, Zarif told IRNA his talks in India for promotion of mutual ties were ?positive and good?.

Referring to his talks with Vice-President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and advisor to premier in national security affairs, Zarif said that important issues of mutual interest were discussed.

Consulate problems were also discussed and a joint commission is to be established to settle these problems, said

Zarif.

He also referred to agreements on cooperation in railroad, technical issues, banking problems, and oil postponed payments and said there were good talks with the other side to solve these problems.

Regional issues such as situation in Afghanistan, Syria and fight against radicalism were discussed, too.

Referring to illegal imposed sanctions and interference in mutual relations by certain countries, Zarif said this atmosphere is breaking now and we agreed with our Indian friends to follow up expansion of bilateral ties.

Zarif, heading a delegation and at the invitation of his Indias counterpart Salman Khurshid arrived in New Delhi on Thursday morning.
