Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan prov, Feb 25, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani hailed the resistance of the people of Hormuzgan in southern country against the colonialist powers.

He made the remarks while talking to reporters here on Tuesday upon his arrival in this Persian Gulf province on a three-day visit.


Referring to the significance of the province for the country as one of the most important strategic points and said it is a gateway for Iran to the free and international waters.

He said the government?s provincial tours provide an opportunity for officials to become familiar with the demands and situation of people in different parts of the country, enabling them to make more precise and acute plannings.
