The director of the Aseman daily was released on bail on Sunday February 23. ILNA reports that Abbas Bozorgmehr was released until his trial on bail of three trillion rials.
The report indicates that Leyla Ebrahiman, the editor of the article that led to the shutdown of the newspaper, was also released yesterday on bail impending trial.

The Aseman daily was shut down on Thursday February 20, six days into its launch, when an article on the Sharia law of Qesas stirred outrage from conservative elements in the government.

Reporters Without Borders condemned Aseman�s closure and the arrest of the journalists.
