Tehran, Feb 22, IRNA - Head of Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council, Ali-Akbar Velayati said here on Saturday that NATO and US are very much interested in playing active role in the Caspian Sea region.
Velayati made the remarks in a meeting on Caspian Sea in Tehran.

He called on the Caspian Sea littoral states to hinder expansionist policies of NATO and US in eastern part of the sea.

Velayati described the Caspian Sea as a human heritage that should be dealt with caution, precision and authority.

Due to their common interest, Iran, Russia and other Caspian Sea littoral countries should not allow NATO and US to continue their expansionist approach toward the east of region.
