Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA � Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appreciated the huge turnout of the Iranian nation in Bahman 22 (Feb 11) rallies commemorating the victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in the country.
The Ayatollah made the remarks here Monday morning in a meeting with thousands of people from the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan.

The meeting took place to mark the anniversary of the uprising of the people of Tabriz (the provincial capital) in 1978 against the dictatorial regime of Pahlavi. The incident triggered more demonstrations in other cities across the country culminating in the victory of the Islamic Revolution one year later.

During the meeting, the Supreme Leader said all should praise the Almighty for this grace.
