British diplomat invited to attend Feb 11 rallies

Tehran, Feb 10, IRNA Deputy Head of Majlis Research Center Javad Jahangirzadeh on Monday invited the UK non-resident charg daffaires to Iran Ajay Sharma to take part in the 22nd Bahman (February 11) rallies, marking the 35th triumph anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Jahangirzadeh told the UK diplomat, I hope you will be in Tehran tomorrow and see how Iranian nation will be present in the rallies marking the triumph anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Tomorrow, this nation will decide the quality of relations with the West.


He said Majlis Research Center has parliamentary relations with certain parliamentary research centers worldwide and is keen on cooperation with UK parliament.

He hoped that the UK diplomat would observe the democratic base of the Islamic Republic of Iran which is presence of the people on the scene.

The MP said that Iranian parliament is willing to upgrade parliamentary ties with the United Kingdom.

Absolutely, growth of Iran-Uk cooperation does not mean Iran will back down on its rational stance; rather, it is a must in todays world.

He said that the Western governments are expected to take serious steps to remove misunderstandings.

The current level of Iran-UK economic relations fell short of keeping up with the the capacities of the two countries.
