Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani left Tehran for Tunis to attend the national celebrations to mark adopting Constitution.
Ardebil MP, Mansour Haqiqatpour, Tehran MP, Laleh Eftekhari and Ahvaz MP, Seyyed Sharif Hosseini are accompanying Larijani.
Talking to reporters on his agenda, Larijani said the two-day visit takes place at the invitation of Speaker of Tunisian Constituent Assembly.
?Tunisia is a pioneer of regional revolutions,? he said, noting that the country struggled to compose new constitution and form a democratic government and finally it succeeded in this regard.
Iran supported the Tunisian revolution from the outset and stood by the Tunis government, he said.
Describing the level of political ties as high, Larijani hoped that the visit would help promote trade and commerce between the two countries.
