FM departs Berlin for Tehran

Tehran, Feb 3, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Berlin for Tehran on Monday night.

The Iranian foreign minister concluded his four-day diplomatic tour of and after delivering a speech and attending a two-hour question and answer session attended by diplomats, politicians and political experts, as well as members of the Germany?s foreign relations council.


Zarif left Tehran for Berlin on Friday to attend the 50th Munich Security Conference attended by heads and officials of more than 100 countries, including Iran.

During his three-day stay in Munich he held bilateral meetings with his foreign counterparts and also attended a specialized roundtable on Iran with focus on Geneva nuclear agreement and resumption of nuclear talks.

Zarif met with his German, American, French, Finnish, Bosnian and Slovakian counterparts as well as EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at Bayerisch Hoff Hotel in Munich.
