Award winning Italian cinematographer Vittorio Storaro is slated to hold a workshop on the sidelines of Irans 2014 Fajr International Film Festival.
The workshop is programmed to be held at the Artists Forum Hall on February 2, 2014.
The event has been organized by the festivals International section in collaboration with the Cinematographers Society of House of Cinema.
Vittorio Storaro is the award winning cinematographer who won Oscars forApocalypse Now,RedsandThe Last Emperor.
Born in1940, Rome, Storaro is the youngest person that received the American Society of Cinematographer's Lifetime Achievement Award.
He has also cooperated with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi in his religious blockbusterProphet Muhammad (PBUH) which is currently passing its post-production phase.
The movie focuses on Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) life from childhood until prophethood. The first draft of the screenplay was co-authored by Majidi and Iranian filmmaker and screenwriter Kambuzia Partovi.
American filmmaker and Hollywood visual effects supervisor Scott E. Anderson along with several other world-renowned cineastes also contributed to Majidis great cinematic project.
This year's edition of Irans most important film presentation and competition festival - the International Fajr Film Festival - is set to take place in the countrys capital of Tehran from February 5 through 15, 2014.
