TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army took control of a strategic region in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

The Syrian air force pounded several bases and concentration camps of the rebel Al-Mosana Al-Islamieh Movement and several more bases of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Daraa Al-Balad town in Daraa countryside, FNA dispatches said Tuesday.

Tens of terrorists have been killed and dozens more injured during Syrian air force airstrikes on Daraa Al-Balad.

Meantime, a Saudi terrorist who was in the most-wanted list of the Interpol and several other countries was killed by the Syrian army in Aleppo countryside in the Northern parts of the country.

Abdallah Suleiman Saleh Al-Zobah nicknamed Abu Ali Al-Qossaimi was killed in a Syrian army rocket attack in Al-Bab region in Aleppo.

Saleh Al-Zobah was in the most-wanted list of the Interpol since 6 years ago.

Saleh Al-Zobah and nine other terrorists who were accompanying him were all killed during a chasing operation and in a rocket attack by the Syrian army.

Also, terrorist groups continued attacks on a Christian town on the outskirts of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The foreign-baked militants on Monday targeted Cherubim Monastery, which is located on the top of a mountain in Qalamoun region.

The armed militants continuously attack the monastery from Rankus village in an effort to reach and take over the town of Saidnaya.

Meantime, Syrian army units continued operations against militants' dens and gatherings in several areas around the country on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, the Syrian army killed dozens of militants in Erbeed, Kweires, al-Jadida, al-Amryeh, Mayir, al-Baik Farms and near Aleppo Central Prison and the Infantry School, the state news agency reported.

In Aleppo city, the army clashed with militants who tried to infiltrate the neighborhood of al-Sayyed Ali and killed and injured many of the assailants.

The army units eliminated all members of many militant groups in the neighborhoods of Salah Eddin and Bustan al-Qasr.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.

Tens of thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
