Ankara, Jan 21, IRNA � Iran?s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said Iran has no obligation to observe oil export ceiling after lifting unilateral imposed sanctions.

Following meeting with Turkey?s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz here in Ankara, Zanganeh made the remarks to the reporters.


The minister added in the fields of oil and petrochemicals, Iran is not committed to implement unilateral imposed sanctions.

Referring to beginning of lifting imposed sanctions against Iran in the field of energy, the oil minister said that in this field, Iran was facing with problems such as export, insurance of oil tankers, insurance of cargo, problem of transportation, foreign vessels, etc, which will be eliminated by lifting the sanctions.

Concerning the aim of his visit to Ankara, Zanganeh said that Turkey?s premier Erdogan will visit Iran soon to discuss different issues with Iranian senior officials, so he travelled to Ankara to make the visit more successful.

He reminded that during Mr. Erdogan?s visit to Iran, several memoranda of understanding will be signed in trade, energy, oil, and gas fields and the negotiating teams are discussing details of the program, now.

He called Turkey as Iran?s strategic partner, adding that by increasing trade exchanges between the two countries, we will witness expansion of ties in cultural and social fields, too.

The Oil Minister arrived in Ankara on Monday noon and will depart Ankara for Tehran this evening.
