Damascus, Jan 15, IRNA � Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif here on Wednesday discussed issues of mutual interest in a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi.

Zarif arrived in Damascus from Amman on the last leg of his four-nation regional tour which previously took him to Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan respectively.


Earlier in the day, Zarif met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The Iranian minister is to leave Syria for Moscow, Russia.
