Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Jordan, conferred with Jordan Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour in Amman.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry website on Wednesday, in the meeting, Zarif called situation in the region sensitive, adding that with cooperation of different countries ways should be found to prevent expansion of terrorism.
Zarif explained Iran?s foreign policy on necessity of fighting against radicalism in the region and the world.
He also welcomed opening of a new chapter of bilateral ties between Iran and Jordan.
Ensour, by referring to commonalities and common interests of the two countries, called for deepening and expanding bilateral relations between Tehran and Amman.
Referring to events and developments in the Middle East, including Palestine and Iraq, Ensour said effect of insecurity in the region on Jordan is undeniable.
Considering Iran?s effective role in the region, Ensour said cooperation between the two countries in bilateral dimensions is important.
