Beirut, Jan 13, IRNA � Visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman conferred here Monday on ways to widen bilateral relations.

The two also held talks on the major international and regional developments.


Beirut is the first destination of Zarif?s regional tour.

Zarif and his entourage arrived in the Lebanese capital late on Sunday upon an official invitation of his Lebanese counterpart Adnan Mansour.

Earlier on Monday, Zarif paid tribute to the martyrs of the last November terrorist blasts near the Iranian embassy in Beirut as well as the martyrs of the Lebanese resistance movement.

He is to hold separate meeting with other senior Lebanese officials late in the day.
