Iran denies IAEA opens office in Tehran
TEHRAN, Jan. 12 (MNA) The Atomic Energy Agency spokesman has denied the news reporting that the IAEA opens office in Tehran as being from a doubted authenticity.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, who was speaking to Mehr News in reaction to a Reuters report, told that the story was unfounded. I have not heard of such a news story. The opening of the IAEA office in Tehran has not been an issue for discussion neither in Geneva talks, nor in any meetings with the IAEA. It has not been proposed by the IAEA either, he added.

The source of the news and the possible motivation behind the news story were not known, he asserted. Reuters quoted a diplomatic source in Vienna who said that a regulating body affiliated with the UN was addressing strategies to boost presence in Iran. The diplomatic source was quoted by Reuters that the IAEA was considering to open an office in Tehran to facilitate its inspectors visiting Iran according to Geneva agreement.
