Tehran, Jan 7, IRNA - Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said here on Tuesday that Iran?s foreign policy is based on having cordial relations with other countries, Islamic countries in particular.
Talking to IRNA, Boroujerdi underlined that he would hold talks with visiting former UK foreign secretary Jack Straw who is heading a British parliamentary delegation to Tehran on Iran?s stance and interests.
Referring to diplomatic challenges between Iran and the West in the past years, he said, as a result of the challenges, the Western states ceased dispatch of parliamentary delegations to Iran.
He stressed that the authority of Iran in different arenas has recently resulted in change of the West approach towards the country.
