Bandar Abbas, Jan 3, IRNA Chancellor of Hormozgan Medical University said there is no problem in providing sanitary, medical and treatment needs to quake-stricken people of Bastak.
Visiting the quake-stricken area, Dr. Mohammad Shekari told reporters on Thursday evening that hospital and emergency unit of Bastak are offering services to wounded people with cooperation of relief workers.
He added that considering the cold and rainy weather in the area, the people are badly in need of tents and blankets.
Shekari stressed that there is no problem on providing medical and treatment equipment and provincial health personnel are doing their duties very well.
A strong earthquake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale jolted Bastak city in 270 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas on Thursday morning, which left one dead and 29 wounded.
