Berlin, Jan 2, IRNA -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has been officially invited to attend the 50th Munich Security Conference, scheduled to take place in the south German city from January 31 through February 2, organizers told IRNA here Thursday.
A spokeswoman for the conference confirmed an earlier report by the
Hamburg-based weekly news magazine Der Spiegel saying the Iran?s
chief executive had been invited to the high-profile security meeting in Munich, widely regarded as the top annual gathering of political movers and shakers on global strategic issues.
An invitation has been sent to the Iran?s President Doctor Rouhani,
however we have not received a response yet, the spokesperson said.
The invitation was delivered last summer, she added.
Hundreds of leading decision-makers and prominent senior analysts from
dozens of countries are scheduled to participate at the three-day confab
to dwell on various top global political and security issues.
