Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA � Visiting Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino said here Sunday that Rome favors Tehran?s presence in the upcoming Geneva II conference on Syria.

Bonino made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Italian counterpart Mohammad-Javad Zarif.


Pointing to the Italian government?s efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis, she said all countries that have enough authority to settle the turmoil in Syria should attend the conference.

She also underlined the need for participation of the Islamic Republic in the Geneva II conference.

Bonino expressed hope that two parties could find a way out of the Syrian crisis.
