Islamabad, Dec 19, IRNA -- Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davuto?lu on Thursday stressed the need to further enhance cooperation with Iran in all sectors.
Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of 16th Session of Developing Eight (D-8) Council of Ministers, he said that Iran and Turkey enjoy strong bilateral relationship.
After holding a bilateral meeting with Irans Foreign Minister Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, he said that both sides discussed bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.
We discussed everything said Ahmet Davuto?lu. He also wished best of luck to his Iranian counterpart.
Speaking to IRNA, Zarif after meeting with Turkish foreign minister said that both sides discussed various bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.
He added the upcoming visit of senior Turkish officials to Tehran and Iranian Presidents visit to Turkey were also discussed during the meeting.
Ali Reza Haghighian, Iran?s Ambassador to Pakistan told IRNA that participation of the Iranian foreign minister and the foreign minister of Turkey in the 16th Session of Developing Eight (D-8) Council of Ministers is the success of the Developing Eight Organization.
He went on to say that the D-8 member states share common views on many issues. He was confident that the D-8 would achieve its objectives in future by implementing successful agreements.
Later Zarif met with Sartaj Aziz, Advisor to the Pakistani Prime Minister on National Security & Foreign Affairs and discussed matters of mutual interests.
