Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday demanded the Iraqi government to ensure safety of Iranians working or living in Iraq.
In a telephone conversation with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, President Rouhani stressed the need to provide the Iranians residing or working in Iraq as well as the pilgrims with full security and protection
The demand came after 18 Iranian technicians and workers involved in Diyaleh gas pipeline project were killed by terrorists.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects the Iraqi government to take timely action to bring to justice those who perpetrated such a heinous crimes.
Meanwhile, the president assigned the Martyrs Foundation and relevant institutes to deliver necessary services for the victims and the breaved families.
The president condoled with families of the martyrs and prayed to God to bestow patience on them to bear the loss of their loved ones.
He also assigned the health ministry to accelerate medical treatment of those wounded in the terror attack.
