Islamabad, Dec 7, IRNA A Pakistani Parliamentarian on Saturday said that conference of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) would help in building cooperation among member states in economy energy and environment sectors, adding that the future of APA is bright.
Taking to IRNA, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, who is also Chairman of organizing committee of APA, welcomed the participation of the high level delegation of Iran led by Majlis Vice Speaker Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi-Fard.
Pakistan-Iran relations are quite good and we have good cooperation because we are brotherly neighbors, he said.
Pakistan is about to hold three-day Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Islamabad from Sunday.
About two hundred delegates including speakers deputy speakers and parliamentarians of the member countries will attend the meeting.
The session is being hosted by Senate of Pakistan. An Iranian delegation will also attend the conference. Theme of the session is Asian Century: Cooperation in Economy Energy and Environment.
About 27 countries, representing parliaments and parliamentarians from all over Asia, have confirmed to participate in the conference.
The assembly, which last met in Damascus in 2010, this time has a very relevant conference, theme, namely, ?Asian Century: Cooperation in Economy, Energy and Environment?.
Mushahid Hussain Syed expressing his views said that Iran and Pakistan are also trying to build a pipeline to reinforce their economic relationship and relationship in energy.
This conference of APA will reinforce this relationship, strengthen this relationship as the theme of this conference is Asian Century: Cooperation in Economy Energy and Environment, said the lawmaker.
The Senator went on to say that there will be a common vision and coordination among the participating states.
We are having very high level delegation from Iran led by his Excellency Majlis Vice Speaker Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi-Fard and we have also Dr Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel who is specialist on Allama Iqbal, so we are looking forward to this conference,? he said.
